Mischief Motu
We create and vend wood crafts, primarily routed works that are intended as wall decor. In addition to purely decorative pieces, we often create functional crafts, such as our popular shipwreck lamps, wall-mounted swizzle holders, bulletin boards embellished with carved tikis, trinket boxes, and jewelry hangers. Everything is handmade and one-of-a-kind.
Vendor Bio
In 2016, husband and wife team, Rob and Jeanine Allspaw, started crafting wood trim and decor for their home bar, Mischief Motu. With every bit of wall space now claimed -- but the mutual love of crafting intact -- they recently began vending their fanciful and functional goods under the same name.
Everything starts with an appreciation of the beauty and textured grain of a thoroughly charred and scraped piece of wood. Inspiration for subject matter is drawn from many sources, including historic/iconic tiki images and bars and Disneyland's Adventureland and Small World.
